Major Lazer mainman Diplo (no longer “with” M.I.A., apparently) has teamed up with Elly Jackson from La Roux (not to be confused with La Rue or even Larousse ) release a free – yes, free – mixtape of a bunch of “JA-inspired blends, special remixes, dubplates and more” .

A digital dancehall twist to the Yazoo-y sound that stomped up the charts?

Personally I wasn’t that averse to a bit of Bulletproof, or In For The Kill… but her voice was a tinge on the weedy side..

Major Lazer (a “hipster dancehall vanity project”, according to the Washington Post)have my utmost respect for their cap-doff to the late lamented Goldie-Looking Chain in their naming of their debut album, and Diplo’s remixes and work with his ex is not to be sniffed at either.
